1. Who is responsible for your personal information

This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information of customers where your personal information is passed to Ann Summers and Ann Summers Book A Party, both the IBA and Ann Summers will become joint controllers of customer data when products are ordered.

The policy governs the manner in which Ann Summers Book A Party collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of the www.annsummersbookaparty.co.uk website ("Site"). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Ann Summers Book A Party.

Brand Ambassadors are independent and not employed by Ann Summers. Ann Summers is not responsible for the use of personal information by Ambassadors. This means that the Ambassador will, independently from Ann Summers’ business operations, process your personal information for purposes they decide and in ways that they decide, including for their own marketing purposes as outlined below.

 

2. Personal information we collect about you

We may collect personal information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, place an order, completing a contact form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

  • To inform you about our products and offers that you may like - by submitting a contact form, joining the site as a member or placing an order, users will be added to the site mailing list and will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. We may also, from time to time, inform you of opportunities to become an Ann Summers Independent Brand Ambassador as part of our marketing communications If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email or User may contact us via our Site.

  • To request your participation in product reviews - we may contact you to ask you to participate in product reviews.  This may be for a product you have purchased or a product we think you may be interested in. We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interest to improve our product offering.  If you choose to participate, the processing of the information relating to your participation and review is carried out on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by contacting us.

If you object to the use of your personal information to fulfil any of the purposes set out above, please contact us.  Whilst your decision to provide your personal information to Ann Summers Book A Party is generally voluntary, if you do not provide certain information, we may not be able to accomplish some of the purposes outlined in this Privacy Statement. For example, we may not be able to post products to you without knowing your postal address.

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our Site from those we know are under 16 and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 16.
