SKINCARE - The Perfect Regime - Eye Creams

Updated: Apr 30

STEP 2

Let's talk about EYE CREAMS/GELS and

- Why

- How

- When

to use them...

WHY

The skin around the eyes is 7-10 times thinner which makes it more delicate and prone to sensitivity, dryness and signs of ageing, this means that this area needs specific care.

But what's the difference between Eye Creams and Eye Gels?

Eye creams tend to be thicker and richer feeling, while the thinner texture of eye gels feels light, refreshing, and more silky than eye creams.

Both creams and gels can

- Blur and brighten the look of the eye area.

- The skin around the eyes will look less puffy, fresh and well rested.

- Dramatically smooth and reduce wrinkles.

- Intensely hydrate the eye area.

HOW

Eye creams/gels are applied to one of the thinnest areas of skin that we have, therefore it is important to make sure it is applied correctly... all it takes is a pea sized amount, divided between the ring fingers and gently pressed/tapped along the orbital bone in an outward motion. DO NOT rub it in, allow the cream to absorb into the area.

WHEN

Eye creams/gels are applied after cleansing (and toning if you use a toner or tonic) both morning and evening.

WHICH EYE CREAM IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

The eye cream that you choose will depend on any concerns you wish to address... it could be dark circles, sagging skin, fine line and wrinkles or it could be to pre-empt any signs of aging.

WHAT DO WE HAVE AVAILABLE...

WHAT DOES MY ROUTINE LOOK LIKE...

Firstly, it is important that you know my skin type... I have combination skin with some oiler patches, my skincare concerns were a particularly dry and sensitive patch of skin on my right cheek and dark circles under my eyes.

I use the Anew Renewal Power Eye Cream both morning and night as part of my skincare routine... I could see the difference instantly due to the Light Diffusion Technology that reflects light away from imperfections to help improve the appearance of the eye area.

So, have you learnt anything new? Do you currently use an eye cream or gel?Are you ready to add one to your routine? Do you want help to select the right one?
